We are looking for our VP of Finance that will lead our financial management activities across our offices. This isn’t a job for someone who wants to maintain the status quo. We’re looking for someone with experience working in financial management or complex businesses who knows what best practice looks like on a global scale.

The VP of Finance will work closely with the CEO and the top management in executing our 3 – 5 year strategic plan. We are an international scale-up, operating globally with offices in London, Milan, Tirana, and Pristina, with a headcount now approaching 130 internationally.

You will have the opportunity to bring your experience, skills and thought leadership to evolve our Financial management across the group of companies in Cardo AI. The VP of Finance is responsible for both operational and commercial aspects of finance and will play a key role in supporting the business as it scales internationally.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day financial operations of the business. The finance team is growing fast, and as the Vice President of Finance, you will need to ensure sustainable high performance is achieved in areas of accounting, statutory reporting, controls and treasury.

Importantly, the VP of Finance must also think strategically about risk and opportunity as the business scales, driving a business partnering culture, whilst also ensuring finance is at the key of strategic decision making.

• Work closely with CEO and executive team to drive business strategy.
• Build and execute a financial strategy for a scale-up fintech
• Oversee key metrics and KPI’S such as ROI, ARR etc.
• Spearhead fundraising including building investor decks and being responsible for investor relations
• Full responsibility for the overall running of the finance function
• Drive the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting requirements
• Lead all internal and external financial matters from Accounting, Payroll, Budgeting, Financial Analysis, Financial Modelling and support on extensive future fundraising activities
• Oversee Legal and HR departments in order to provide process improvements to drive growth
• Establish and maintain accounting policies and procedures
• Manage corporate allocations and transfer pricing
• Assist in financial and accounting & tax due diligence of M&A
• Liaise with external firms for audit, accounting and tax matters

The ideal candidate will have experience in managing all financial management processes across different jurisdictions and growth phases of the business. Typically, you have:

• At least 7+ years of relevant financial management experience
• Previous experience working within one of the following functions prefered: Top Tier Consultancy or VC-funded start-ups & scale-up (Fintech preferred) or accounting company
• A recognized accounting qualification
• Previous experience with SaaS based KPI’s (ARR, LTV, churn, etc)
• Previous experience in a managerial role (within a finance function)
• Previous experience in a VC or PE backed environment – desirable
• Confident on pushing back and challenging senior stakeholders
• Comfortable operating in ambiguity. You fluctuate seamlessly between hands-on operational tasks while navigating through the uncertainty and thinking strategically
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to present to key stakeholders
• Fluency in English.

We are specialized in the alternative lending asset class, such as peer to peer lending, real estate crowdfunding and invoice trading.
