Cardo AI proudly contributes to the MSCA Industrial Doctoral Network on Digital Finance

We are thrilled to announce that, as an industrial partner and beneficiary, Cardo AI will be contributing to DIGITAL, a European research and PhD training program within the prestigious Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA). This program aims to foster research talent in industrial training and improve the competitiveness of European financial market.

Objectives of the program

MSCA Digital Finance aims to integrate advanced research and training in the field of digital finance. The goal is to bridge the gap between academia and industry, fostering a new generation of digital finance professionals. DIGITAL will train young researchers in R&D topics essential for the rapidly changing landscape of digital finance, encompassing diverse applications such as data quality, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Explainability of AI (XAI), blockchain applications, and sustainable finance, the focus extends well beyond traditional Finance PhD education.

Collaborative network and impact

DIGITAL consists of a consortium of top European universities and industry partners on a mission to reshape the landscape of digital finance:

  • Eight leading European Universities (WU Vienna University of Economics and Business, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, University of Twente, Bucharest University of Economic Studies, Babes-Bolyai University, Bern Business School, Kaunas University of Technology and University of Naples), all ranked among the top 200 universities globally in their fields.
  • Five major international corporations (Deloitte, Swedbank, Intesa Sanpaolo, Bank for International Settlements, and Raiffeisen Bank) with a significant Research & Development presence across Europe.
  • Two SMEs (Cardo AI and Royalton Partners) being some of the most innovative ones in their field.
  • Three large and internationally renowned research centers (Athena Research and Innovation Centre, EIT Digital, and Fraunhofer Institute).
  • Two governmental agencies: the European Central Bank and the Bank for International Settlements.
