As we are expanding our offering towards the ESG landscape, we are looking for an ESG Senior Analyst, to join our team and support Cardo AI’s rapid growth in private debt markets.
The ESG Senior Analyst, in collaboration with the other ESG analysts, software engineers and data scientists will play a key role in Cardo’s ESG product development journey. The role will report directly to the ESG Specialist.
What will be your goals for your first 30/60/90 days:
✔️Lead the research and development of the logics underlying the products we are developing (e.g. carbon emissions estimation models);
✔️Continuously identify new data sources (information, research and news) that are material and actionable to develop and/or enhance our current features;
✔️Supervise junior analysts and ensure their work meets the highest quality standards;
✔️Monitor ESG regulatory and market developments and best practices to support product development strategy
✔️Produce thought leadership content for private market investors and other stakeholders
✔️Draft, maintain and update client presentations
✔️Work closely with the Data Science Team to provide the right insights supporting the development and testing of ML models
✔️Lead the creation of new tools and functionalities to help clients invest responsibly;
✔️Work closely with back-end, front-end developers and UX/UI designers to translate business logics into technological products
How will your expertise contribute to everyone’s success:
✅University degree in economics, finance, political, social or natural sciences with a sustainability focus or equivalent preferred;
✅At least 3 years of work experience in the field of ESG ratings/consulting or research, corporate sustainability or sustainable finance;
✅A sound understanding of global sustainability reporting frameworks and trends
✅ Strong project management and organizational skills;
✅Strong analytical skills and an acute attention to detail
✅ Excellent data analysis skills (advanced Excel is a must) and ability to work with complex data
✅English (fluency required), second language is a plus
✅Ability to take initiative and make an impact on the larger organization.
Highly desirable:
✅Sound understanding of financial markets and investment products in the private assets landscape, including ESG frameworks;
✅Extensive experience in the field of ESG data modeling (carbon emissions, LCA) and alternative data.
✅Familiarity with EU sustainable finance regulatory developments (SFDR, EU Taxonomy)
✅Experience in leading interactions with software developers and data scientists
